Signs your Orillia basement needs waterproofing
Puddles are the late sign. Most Orillia basements tell you earlier if you know what to look for after melt.
Early signs
Musty air in a century cellar after rain. White mineral staining on stone or concrete. Paint that bubbles at the bottom of a wall. Rust at the base of a steel post. A crack that looks dry until you put your hand on it in March.

What not to do
Do not rely on interior waterproof paint on a wall that is taking lake-edge moisture. Do not run a dehumidifier and call it solved. Those buy time. They do not move the water.
